Spiritdancer is a site created by Shamira (Carolyne) of Somerset to promote Raqs Sharqi, Bellydance, Reiki healing, Palmistry, Tarot and other therapies.
I am passionate about this dance, which I teach and perform, and I am also a professional therapist, Tarot reader and teacher, Elemental palmist (Chirologist), teacher of Palmistry, and Reiki healer and teacher.

Bellydance class with Shamira at Preston School Drama Studio, Monks Dale in Yeovil, Somerset every Tuesday 7.30 to 8.30pm. Running throughout 2010! No classes now until 12th January. Working on Egyptian Classical Style in January. Drop In Class Email me for details! Classes focus on mainly Egyptian styles of Beledi, Classical Sharqi and Sha'abi (Folk). Suitable for beginners to learn the basics and for those with more experience who will be challenged with honing technique, layering, shimmies and combinations! The class costs £6. Keen 12 to 16 year olds welcome if accompanied by an adult who is responsible for them at all times. Under 16 year olds are half price, £3 each
Introduction To Palmistry weekend course with me in Yeovil being planned for New year, to be held in Yeovil. This course will enable you to learn how to take prints, and how to read hands, including the fingers, lines and markings so that you will be able to do a basic reading by the end. Handouts will be provided and books recommended so that participants can keep learning after the course has finished. Email me for details!
Bellydance Trips to Luxor And Weekenders to Cairo 2010. With Penny Walters of Everything Egyptian bazaar. Lessons with professional bellydancers including Kharriya Mazin the sole remaining Nawari Ghawazee dance performer.see the local sites, take a fellucca trip, ride a camel, visit the bellydance warehouse, see a show at a hotel, and enjoy a hafla on the last night! Anne White Ghawazee And Stick Dance Workshop March 27th 2010 11am to 4pm, Preston School Main Hall, Monksdale, Yeovil. Ghawazee including sagat work, followed by male and female stick dance workshop. Anne is very popular so am taking bookings already for this! £35 for the whole day. Small bazaar. Please bring a packed lunch and your own water. Email me for further details or to hold your place.
